How do you choose your manga?

"This is how I pick it:

ARTWORK: I must like the artwork. Though some artwork is awesome, i might not like it therefore i don't usually buy it unless it's a to die for storline.

AUTHOR: once i'm a fan of the authors, I tend to buy more of their books because i'll be crazy about their works. hehe.

STORYLINE: this is one of the biggest reasons why i by the book. I have to make sure that i'm interested in it. there are some books that i thought i would like but end up not buying anymore--like absolute boyfriend--that didn't quite fit my taste though I thought I would like it because I'm a fan of Yuu Watase's work--however--it's way too dramatic for me. I got sick of the dramatic problems.

Tokyopop, Viz, or DelRey?

"That's a tough choice. I have manga from all three companies! let's see--I like it that Tokyopop have lots of manga--but not all the manga i like. there are only a good bunch that I actually read from tokyopop---however now they are releasing Heaven!! a very good manga I loved!

Let see...Viz is really good at choosing their manga because most of all the manga i have is from viz. they really know how to attract their auidence. And their new linceses are really good too! and i like that it's kind of cheap.

as for Del Rey, their manga has really good quality! but very EXPENSIVE! the only manga i have from there is Wallflower.

Therefore, I would say that I like Viz more. because it has lots of cool shoujo manga and it's cheap. I'm able to buy them and still enjoy my read! ^^"

. And for FMA, I love that anime too--but I wished there was more coming--or like maybe a second season because I'm not to happy about the ending. It left me hanging and making guesses what it might happen in the future. Of course there's the movie, but I would prefer it to be a series and not one feature movie to tell everything. It'll be nice to see it again. So, Naruto would be the one that I lked best from those three. ^^"

Should Manga Created Outside Japan Be Called Manga?

"Well, i really don't know. but i do know for myself that i'll call japanese comics "manga" while korean comics "manhwa" and american comics "comics". I haven't read a chinese kind yet so i don't know what exactly to call them. but this issue can be debated. i just thought since the word "manga" does belong to the japanese that it'll only be called manga if a japanese person develop it under the "manga" rule (not the best word to describe it). something like that."

How long does it take to read manga?

"It really depends on the series. usually, i take my time and enjoy it to its fullest because i enjoy and love reading manga. unless, i really don't find it interesting then i end up, most of the time with these kinds of manga, skimming through it and then leaving it and never to touch it again. sad. but usually, it'll take me a good hour to enjoy and read it at the same time! I think it's a pretty good time. an hour a manga. ^^"

"**Girl Got Game - about Kyo Aizawa who disguise herself as a guy to play basketball in high school. (the high school is known for its best in basket ball and the idea as her being a boy is her father's) well, Kyo meets Eniwa and they both just went from hating each other and eventually falling in love with each other. and of course, there are many more events that makes the manga really good!

**Wallflower - about these four hot guys who are suppose to turn this "ugly" girl, sadako, into a lady. the story is pure and really good. this is a must free! i really recommend this manga for everyone!

**Hot Gimmick - Hatsumi was out buying a pregnant test for her younger sister who may be pregnant and along the way meets a guy from her childhood, Ryoki. Ryoki isn't your average nice guy, in fact he's cold and cruel. To shut him from saying anything about Hatsumi's younger sister, she ends up being Ryoki's slave, a person he could do whatever to. i really like this story alot. it's romantic and actaully hits into everyday lifestyles than the innocent fairytales that everyone dreams about.

**Tenshi Ja Nai - About a girl who wants a quiet and simple life due to her past, but happens to room with the prettiest girl and a celebrity---but this celebrity turns out to be a HE! i would say that this story, i enjoyed alot and really love it! it's a must READ!
