"All the characters look like they have been resized without keeping the proportions.

Some scans aren't the same style. Some are more manga looking and others more detailed drawing.
The use of the strange shadow doesn't help blending the characters they make them look weird.

The green outlines around the main characters is really bad looking.

The background is a little too messy. You have some characters there that don't really look at their places. The combination of the colorful part in the middle with the dark sides is pretty strange.
The stars in the middle are all cut on the upper branch... The minimum would be to find a complete star and use it.

It's been SO LONG I didn't wall anything that I probably lost all my "talent"! HUM LOL. Yeah OK! Let's be serious!

Here is a wallpaper I started like two years ago and I can't stand to let it the way it is now...

So here it is.
Basically it's just the vectoring of a screen capture from the anime. It's during the Bounto part of the Bleash history.

I need two thinks to be able to finish this wallpaper :
1) I need to get advices on the eyes cause I don't really like them at the time. I still suck with eyes.
2) I would love to find back from which Bleach episode I took this screen-capture cause actually I've lost my original screen-capture and can't finish detailing the wall if I don't have it. :)

No need to point out that I didn't put my sign on... As this work is far from finished I didn't feel like putting it on... :)

For me the logo looks better with the green splatter behind it. So I would say Go for the last version you did.

But I was finally wondering if you couldn't make her eyes more saturated or if that was the original color of the character. Cause adding some "light" or saturation at this wall could make the girl cuter think... But that's totally a detail.

Anyway I think this wallpaper is ready. But wait for Tens to be sure. :)

Reading your comment make me think your not ready yet for submitting your wallpaper to this site. You have to understand that here on AP the requirements to be accepted into the gallery are REALLY hight! The moderators won't accept any "casual quality" work. They want the best that can be made. No matter if your new to Photoshop or to walling. They don't care about your age or your skills... All that matters on this site is QUALITY!

So I understand you don't like akiranyo saying your wallpaper is bad... Cause in fact it's a wallpaper you made because you liked it and for a personal wallpaper it's OK. But she's totally right if you think to submit the wallpaper here on the site.
She just want to avoid you to be fined with 100 papers cause you didn't meet the quality required...

And here Session Zero is totally dedicated to wallers who want to learn and get better. Here you probably will never get any comment saying "It's perfect submit it"... You'll always get comment to change something, add a stuff,... That why this part of the forum is designed for!

So if you don't feel like editing your wallpaper at all we can understand that totally but better keep it for you or an other site that has no such high quality requirements than here cause you'll be rejected. For sure.

Also note that here on the site a 3 hours wallpaper is most of the time really not worthing the gallery. My first wallpaper took me more than 40 days to be totally finished! ;D

So basically the question here is "do you want to make a wallpaper for this site or not?"

If you do, accept to change the wallpaper as akiranyo told you to do cause she knows better! ^_^

"The first look at this wallpaper makes it look fine but then when you see it closely you can spot a lot of problems going on.

Indeed the extraction is really bad. You need to use the pen tool to cut the character out of the original scan. Here it looks like you just took of the background with the eraser. Which is probably the worst tool to do so... :-s

The effects and text are jaggy and for some parts a little messy. Maybe you can correct the text like Tens said and you can probably use different tones of yellow or brown for some lines and swirls... Light brown will fit with the color of the background I think.

The shadow you placed behind Cloud doesn't really fit the light source if you ask me... Maybe try to make it darker?

The character needs to blend more with the background. To do so if the extraction is better it's easier. Then you can select the character and add some soft outlines to it. But really a small amount. Something like 2px or 3px max! Just so the character doesn't look too sharp on the background. But you need to try first because when the background is bi-color like this one, it can happen that that effect doesn't look good on one of them...

The fire effect and the combination with the tree looks a little strange. maybe you can give us more informations about what you wanted to do... :)

"I like the first version better but without the yellow shading on the right side...

For me the character looks too fade compared to the background. Soft colors against hard ones... Don't know I'm not really comfortable with that combination.

The logo also is a little too saturated for my taste. Doesn't fit really well the soft colors of the scan.

The squares pattern is fine for me just the colors...

Other than that I think the wall is fine. Great vector by the way although I'm not a fan of the subject! lol ^_^

Anyway about the wall,

The background is better indeed although I liked the color of the first version's background better.

As for the characters :
- You should really take of the scratched texture on your characters and focus on a more simple drawing style. Cause it's still looks bad the way it is. The change to grey is nice. It makes it like pen drawing but still too much texture.
- The red Trigun is not really needed.

About the text :
- The Trigun in red is fine.
- The text near the cat is OK.
- I miss the little handdrawed stars ^^
- The main text in the middle still don't feel handwritted. Why don't you writte it yourself and scan it? That would be unique! :p

Anyway the choice of the colors isn't matching at all. The saturation of the character is a little too hard.

The text in the background is interesting but not really logic... Who will tag that kind of sentence on a street wall? On a Wanted poster that can make more sens but here it's just look strange...

The way you did the tag on the wall it just looks like some bio-hazard or something but surely not like a wanted add...

I think this wallpaper is a little too dark. On some parts it's hard to see the difference between the character and the background or to really discern the different parts of the character...

"For me the vector of Shinji is missing some details like shading on the face. The texture you add on his shirt is nice but the face miss something.

I'm not comfortable with the text ON his face... Maybe you can place it out of his face? I don't know. It's maybe just me and my taste...

As for the character in the background, it's nice but it looks a little too damaged by some of the effects like the almost vertical scratch.

The sort of metal texture you used as background is fine but I'm wondering if the color shouldn't be more greenish or gray... Cause if it's a metal or a military structure, it shouldn't be so bright and sunny... But that's just an idea...

As for the fonts... Some are nice but all those ones in one text makes it a little confusing as well as the placement cause we don't know where to start with it...

Let's talk about the size. Check out the accepted sizes list before submitting. Your wallpaper is too small.

The style is good though. I guess if you start by following the rules and finding the anime-manga-game your characters are from you'll probably get your wall into the gallery.

But as it's a really small resolution it's hard to speak properly about the quality of your work...

The mix of 3D-2D works better here but you still have problems with the light source of your picture. Indeed the character are sitting in the dark. So you need to add some dark on them or add a street light near them so we can understand why they are so bright...

You need to darken some parts of the background cause they look too white and shiny."

ANYWAY I'm on vacation today so I guess I'm the first commenting on your work :p

First the marshmallows are too low quality. Better try to vector them or find on the net better pictures. Good point of making these in a Brush! ^^

If you ask me, I'll tell you that you have some troubles with the extraction of your character. Better rework a little on that before submitting anything.

As for the background. I don't know the character or the anime but I can tell you it doesn't blend well with it and looks a little strange cause it's too saturated in colors compared to the character.
Also the character has a logo on his shoulder that looks pretty strange... Did you add this or was it on the original scan? If you add it,you should remove it cause it's not really great looking... :-s

In this wall the background attracts more attention than the character itself. I don't know if it's only because of the flashy colors or also because the character looks a little too big in the picture and it's really interestingly placed...

For the font I'm sure you can find what you need on this site!

Just make sure you're using an original art from the author or some of the accepted drawings (more info in the FAQ)

Negative papers come when you have submitted a wallpaper that has been rejected (-100 for each wall that has been rejected). Again in the FAQ you'll find more information about how to get papers and how to avoid fees.

"I don't know if other poeple see it but it looks like there is a lot of jaggy edges around the character and also some around the lines you put on top.

The button is fine where it's placed but I would recommend to change the color theme a little bit cause it's not matching the original scan... It looks too new age for the style of the character.

"I prefer the white version. The background contains more details and looks better for me. The texture and effect are more visible and look better on the lighter version.

I'm just wondering if you shouldn't add more saturation to the yellow eyes of Ichigo... And add some light to it just like you did his zampakto.

"ARGL I was commenting on this wall and my computer turned off the power !! damn technology!

ANYWAY...

So basically here are the infos in a shorter therm...
Let's be nice for once! :p

1) the extraction needs some work. You have too much leftovers from the original scan around the characters. You should also remove the space under the chair cause it doesn't fit with the actual background of the wallpaper.

2) Your scan as it's a manga scan looks a little low quality. It can happen if you stretch or resize the picture or if you scanned it with a low resolution (better try the 200 or 300 dpi). If it's your scan, I would recommend to rescan it with 300 dpi and ask for a end process product with a 60 or 70% of the size so it can fit your picture.
If it's not your scan and you don't have the original to scan. I would rather recommend to clean the picture. How? With that site it can be easier http://cornerofart.webs.com/resources/tutorials/basicscancleaning.html
If you still can get the thing right, you can search a tutorial on Google.

3) Repeat the characters in the background is almost always a bad idea... it's just like if you couldn't find any other way to avoid blanc spaces and the moderators don't really like that...

4) The text is pretty cool but the font of the 3 first lines is a little too casual... You should try for some more interesting fonts. You can find some really neat ones on www.dafont.com
The Zero in is cool looking but isn't really readable cause it's too dark on a dark background. You can correct that easily by making the text a little more saturated, making it lighter or make the background lighter... You need to try and choose the solution you like better.

5) the splatter brush and the style of your wallpaper is cool. I like the way you placed everything. My only complain would go to the small size of the wallpaper itself... Cause now it's pretty rare a screen so small and the bigger it is the more you can place icons on! :p ^^

6) Last but not least. Are you sure you want your personal address as sing? I would rather consider putting your url on AP better than your address... Just as confidential thing... You never know! :)

Hope this isn't too long and doesn't sound too hard for you. I try to be constructive but sometimes I get a little hard on new wallers... :-s But I don't bite! ^^

Or maybe you can add the puzzle piece's lines on the entire picture so we can tell it's a puzzle... Just like in real...
I prefer the second version for the style of the pieces and the colors.

Little tip : I would manage to place to two characters with the feet touching the bottom of the wall... And make them a little more saturation.

And make sure the pieces of puzzle go ON the characters and not behind or it won't be really "logic" in the way they are placed...

I like what you did even though I'm not sure it's gonna fit as desktop background... For me won't be a problem cause I don't like to have too much icons on it but for people with lot of icons there won't be so much place left...

The logo on the bottom left corner isn't really great looking the way it's shrinked on an edge... For me keeping the original size and style is important. But as I don't know that logo in real I won't complain too much about it.

The text in the middle looks fine to me.

I guess as you have such a huge scan, that you can enlarge your wallpaper to a bigger version with that "woman" you're talking about on! So the entire wall would make much more sense...

Anyway other than that the extraction is really good. The colors are fitting and the background looks funny the way it is... We know it's a humorist wallpaper but we just can't figure out why! :-s And that so sad for us! :("

"You can also just go on with this wallpaper and try your best to make something good with it... For the first wallpaper it's always easier to start with a base and go on with people here on Session Zero till you get something worth the gallery...

It's how you'll learn on this site cause here the people on SZ WANT to comment and make you do better walls, we can provide you good advices and even more like resources, tutorials, etc...

I don't know if it's you who add that blue outline of if it's left overs from the original picture but you need to get ride of it.

As for the "jump" effect you try to do. It's not the best way to do it... There your scan looks weird with it.
